ABOUT E3A

Objectives

As the Resource, Training and Developoment Association for educators, corporate trainers, coaches who use E3 programs in for schools, universities, corporations, non-profits, solopreneurs, and individuals on the path or personal and professional development, our objectives are to

  • Offer opportunities for networking, building relationships and co-creating learning;
  • Provide a one-stop organization for access to the growing body of knowledge which encourages team and individual learning, growth and development in the field;
  • Offer training, certification and resources for the implementation of equine experiential education (E3) programs;
  • Promote the Equine Experiential Education (E3) industry as a powerful, successful and professional method of learning to corporations, educators and coaching audiences worldwide;
  • Increase recognition and add credibility to this new and growing field by offering a professional association that encourages, supports and trains in industry best practices.
  • Create a strong team of professional facilitators knowledgeable not only in horsemanship but also, in their field of expertise, who are able together to produce the most outstanding E3 experience for their clients

MISSION: E3A is an international professional membership organization offering training, certification and resources for the implementation of Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) programs by educators, coaches, Professional Development trainers and other facilitators. We provide the necessary resources for the promotion and implementation of quality, successful, professional equine experiential education programs.

Utilize an introspective, experiential approach with horses to enable personal, educational and professional growth, learning and development

  • Promote an environment of safety and respect for all participants, both people and horses
  • Promote standards of excellence for the delivery of equine experiential education (E3)
  • Provide the training benchmark for E3, one which meets the criteria of top corporations and educational institutions
  • Provide services and conduct business based on principles of professionalism, nondiscrimination, acceptance, cooperation and integrity
  • Promotate a positive impact in the lives of E3 facilitators and their clients
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and professionalism in the field of E3
  • Assure industry wide acceptance of E3 as the standard for educators and corporations
  • Ensure the validity, viability and integrity of the E3A model through the promotion of professional practices such as measured outcomes
  • Promote a culture of collaboration through sharing of information, experience and ideas
  • Promote the use of E3 as a viable experiential education alternative for individuals, schools and corporations world wide.

Founding Members

The Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A) was formed in 2007 as a non-profit organization with central headquarters near Reno, Nevada.

Founding members of the organization are:

Larry Bramblett, of Clermont, FL, former executive director of the Black Stallion Literacy Program, and a former superintendent of schools;

Tim Manson, corporate trainer and owner of Innovative Horizons of Killeen, TX;

Linda Pucci, Ph.D., psychologist and personal/business coach, Inner Resource Center, LLC, Maryville, TN;

Pam Salem, business owner and former horse breeder, of Horizon Farm Equine Growth and Learning Center, Seymour, TN;

Kim Shook, corporate trainer and owner of Bella Terra Equine Experience, Kalamazoo, MI;

and PJ Stegen, non-profit management professional and corporate coach, former executive director for Horses for the Spirit, and owner/director of Horseshoe U, in Washoe Valley, NV. Stegen serves as the executive director of Equine Experiential Education Association.

Supporting founders are

Debbie Anderson, Executive Director, Strides to Success, Indianapolis, IN;

Jean Starling, MBA, author, business strategist, and creator of Taking the Reins, Ellensburg, WA;

and Linda Zimmerman, co-founder and Program Director, Strides to Success, Indianapolis, IN.
