CERT3: EAL (Equine Assisted Learning) Trainer Certification

Conduct a 1 day structured EAL training program for clients you select, using E3A’s templates and demonstrating EAL facilitation skills. Over a 3 day period, candidates will demonstrate their knowledge of how to:

Put together a program that will accomplish client’s objectives
Select activities (and modify them as needed) that best align to the assessment results
Design the program agenda and workshop logistics plan
Conduct the program and capture the action plan
Demonstrate the ability to produce powerful learning experience for clients through skilled debriefs
Demonstrate your understanding of the horse/human connection and the use of E3A Horse Activities
Develop and administer program evaluation materials
Write the Workshop Summary Report
Do post-program assessment with the client

Candidates who pass the evaluation criteria will be awarded the E3A Level 2 Certified Trainer certificate.

This is a FREE preview event you'll want to attend if you are interested in becoming an E3A Foundation or advanced certified trainer. This course will provide a basic understanding of the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A), our approach and the training courses we offer. Our courses range from teleclasses to hands-on experiences as a participants in activities with horses to actually facilitating E3 activities and the horse/human connection with actual clients. E3A training is especially useful for the following contexts: corporate, business, education, coaching or personal development workshop.

Course Description: A primer on experiential education and the facilitation process that provides context and framework for equine-based action learning. The concepts presented are primarily based on the book, Open to Outcome (O2O - reading is a course prerequisite). This course will provide a basic understanding of experiential facilitation for Equine Experiential Education (E3) programming, or other equine-based work with corporations, youth or individuals. This is the initial introduction into experiential facilitation and the training courses that follow reinforce and build upon this basic knowledge of facilitation.

FUND2 Course Description:

Through an intensive small group 3 day practicum, class participants explore why horses, as co-facilitators, provide an experiential learning experience with value and benefits unlike any other, and how to facilitate those experiences. Takeaways include:

Discover the key aspects of partnership with horses in a conscious and responsible manner while embracing the wisdom of our horse partners
Become acquainted with the E3A horse activities, how they work, when to use them in different environments, and how to custom-tailor them
Develop the ability to interpret the horse/human connection relative to participants individual and group actions during horse activities
Acquire a basic understanding of applied equine experiential facilitation and coaching techniques for trainers

Course Description:

The Get Started Marketing Series focuses on Product Development, the Sales Cycle, Online and Offline Marketing Strategies and Tools, and how to put together a Marketing Plan. If you'd like to walk away with a completed Marketing Plan after 3 classes, this is the class for you.

The Product Development class defines the products you sell, their features and benefits and who you will sell to (customer profile). We also create the value proposition for your customers (what problem your product solves for them), and how to do competitive research to differentiate your product from your competitors. Finally, you will develop a strategic intention and goals for accomplishing your product development activities.

The Sales Cycle and Online Marketing Class provides an overview of the sales cycle, how selling affects marketing, and an introduction to online marketing strategies and their use. You choose the internet marketing strategies that will support your sales efforts of examine the marketing collateral and tools you will need to support your online marketing campaign.

Offline Marketing and the Marketing Plan provides an overview of traditional marketing strategies, their purpose, the tools that support them, and how to combine them with online marketing strategies. Also covered is how to set sales goals, and use key selling strategies such as "upselling," and how to measure and adjust strategies based on sales results. Finally, we put all of the information from the 3 classes into a Marketing/Sales Plan.

Facilitating Equine assisted Learning (EAL) with horses - CERT2 (Tuesday, October 22, 2013)

Course Description:

This course is a 3 day small group facilitation practicum that provides extensive training in how to facilitate E3A horse activities inside of the corporate, education and personal development contexts. Trainees will learn about team maturity and the team change process, and how best to facilitate individuals and teams with effective EAL debrief techniques, plus gain experience using the StrengthsFinder assessment tool in a workshop setting.

Also covered are steps 3-6 of the E3A workshop process involving how to:

- design and conduct an EAL training program based on pre- workshop assessment results,

- choose horse activites to achieve client goals

- create a post-workshop summary report that will lead to

future client consulting

Participants will come away from this training possessing the skills required to debrief clients using effective program solutions

that will improve results, teamwork and communication no matter who your target audience is.
